Strategic Conquest
Welcome to the challenge of Strategic Conquesfrm! Strategic Conquest Plus is a wargame wherein two opposing
forces (controlled by humans or the computer) face off against each other in a bid to completely control the entire
world. Initial exploration, early skirmishes, allocation and placement of forces, and strategic planning of unit
production for the endgame are all essential elements in winning.
Getting Started
Make a copy of the Strategic Conquest Master disk and place your Master in a safe location. To launch the program,
simply double-click on the Strategic Conquest icon. In a short while, you will be confronted with the Game Set Up
menu:
It has four game type options, as illustrated above. In a single player game, the human player will play against
the computer at one of 15 different levels of difficulty. In a two player/one Mac game, two human players can face
off against each other on the same Mac. In an AppleTalk game, two players will face off against each other, each on
his own Macintosh. The Master will be Player One and the Slave will be Player Two. The game set up menu also
includes a setting for the difficulty level of a single player game. Choose the game type by selecting one of the
radio buttons next to the selection of your choice, and (if you choose to play a single player game) select the
level of play by dragging or clicking the thumbwheel to the desired position. Select the button marked Continue or
hit the Return key when you are satisfied with your game set up options.
The next thing that you will be prompted to do is select the production of your first city. Information on what the
city's surroundings look like, and the number of production days left until each piece type is produced are
included in the City Production menu:
