Robotron: 2084

The robot revolt has begun.
It's the year 2084, and robots are turning against their masters. Saved by a genetic accident, only you can resist their mutant re-programming and defend humanity. Grunts close in. The Brains launch missiles. Thanks, Sheroids and Electrodes spell death. And then, there's the Hulk - immune to your laser. Your mission is to rescue, evade and destroy. Good luck.

TO LOAD:
TURN OFF your APPLE Computer. Insert Robotron: 2084 diskette into main disk drive (Drive number one).
TURN ON the Apple Computer. If you have an APPLE II-E computer, make sure you are in upper case mode by pressing CAPS LOCK key.)
In about seven seconds, Robotron: 2084 will be running.
Use the joystick buttons to fire and rotate the direction of fire.
The year is 2084. And, amidst the rocky remnants of our lost civilization lurks the menacing machine-like monster race, the Robotrons. Man's mistaken
creation!
Man created the Robotrons in his search for ultimate mechanical mindpower. But, guided by their infallible logic, the Robotrons concluded that man is inefficient and, therefore, must be destroyed. The robotrons turned against man, and set out to kill every last human being—man, woman, and child! Now, only one human family remains.
You are the last hope of mankind. Thank goodness you possess extraordinary ability and strength because of a genetic engineering error in your favor. Use it now to your advantage! Rescue every human you can by touching them before they are destroyed by the deadly Robotrons.
Be careful, though. The Ground Roving Unit Network Terminator Robotrons (GRUNTs) march toward you in intimidating numbers. Mindless as they may seem, they are masters at murder!
Hulk Robotrons throw their weight around. You can't kill them but with all your strength you might be able to move them. Try your best.!
Brain Robotrons are too smart for your own good. They reprogram humans into sinister Progs. And, just for fun, they fling cruise missiles in your direction.
That's not all. The Spheroids and Quarks manufacture Enforcer and Tank Robotrons. Never have the odds been so against you. Don't come in contact with these evil machines.
Fight all three menaces with your anti-robot laser. Successfully hit your targets, and get an extra life every 25,000 points. And remember—only you can save the humans from these mean mechanical beasts. Don't give up. The last human family could be your own.
